Linkin Park
Today I will write about my favorite band, more than any other, as the title says it is "Linkin Park".
Yes, same band that you're thinking about, of the song "In the end", that it almost everyone knows.
Same band that their songs are used for Youtube videos of insects fighting to the death, of cockroaches trying to get up, or even fights of "Naruto" versus Sasuke ".
Well, Linkin Park is a band from the United States, its mainly genre is alternative rock. But these guys explored many musical genres, such as nu metal, rock, rap metal, alternative metal, electronic rock and pop.
Its members are:
Mike Shinoda (the rapper): Keyboard and voice.
Brad Nelson: Guitar.
Dave Farell (Phoenix): Bass.
Joe Hahn (the Chinese of the band): Synthesizer, sampler, Dj, etc.
Rob Bourdon: Drums and percussion.
and finally the lead voice Chester Bennington.
I've been listening to Linkin Park since I was 11 years old, I remember that first time I heard them was the soundtrack of "Transformers", until that moment I didn't knew who they were, and one day my older brother was listening to them, and I asked him what band It was, with this I started my obsessive love for them.
I didn't loved all his music from the beginning, but little by little and as they matured, I started to like them a lot, especially for the passionate and deep thematic of his lyrics. I could be weeks attached to their songs, and I liked that, because they didn't bored me.
And at this moment I started to wear black, with quadrille shirts, I used to have patches of "Linkin Park" in my backpack, and not only that, necklaces, wristbands, etc. I think Linkin Park helped me to define my style and my person. Especially in my adolescence.
The best memories I have of this band, was when my family gave me their "last album" (until then)as a gift for christmas, called "The Hunting Party", I know all of its lyrics!.
Other memory that I have, is when I went to their concert, which was on May 9, 2017 at the "Movistar Arena".
It was very fun to go, it's so much different listen their music in live, than on headphones.
That day I took advantage of de-stressing, it was so much "headbang" I am very sore in the neck, but it was worth it.
It shocked me a lot when I heard about the death of the lead vocalist, Chester. He died on July 20, same year of the concert.
I couldn't believe it, a few months ago, I had been in the concert of band.
Its last album "One More Light" was very badly received by fans because it was very different to his music, so much pop.
After Chester's death, everyone realized that this last album was a cry for help.
I listened to the song "One more light" over and over and over and cried for Chester, HE REALLY HAD AN AMAZING VOICE.
Today, nobody knows what will happen with the band. I hope they come back, although it will be sad without Chester.
But Linkin Park, it's still Linkin Park. One of the most criticized bands for its radical changes of gender in its musical career, but there isn't exist music equal to Linkin Park.
Linkin Park is light!
Chester is the best!, her voice was amaizing and "One More Light" is a very beatiful song.
